Higashimaru CHOTTO Donburi Gyudon Seasoning 14g x 4pcs

Make authentic gyudon (Japanese beef bowl) easily at home with this convenient powdered seasoning. Just simmer thinly sliced beef and onions with the seasoning and water to create a rich, savory dish. The secret ingredient—red wine—eliminates any beefy odor while enhancing umami and adding a deep, slowly-cooked flavor.

Perfect not only for classic beef bowls but also delicious in pork bowls or beef sukiyaki donburi.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 60g sliced beef
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 bag Chotto Donburi Gyudon seasoning
  • 80ml water
  • 1 serving of rice
  • Pickled ginger (optional)

How to Prepare:

  1. Cut beef into bite-sized pieces and thinly slice the onion.
  2. In a pot, combine water and the Chotto Donburi seasoning.
  3. Add the onions, cover, and simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the beef, cover, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve the beef and onion mixture over hot rice and garnish with pickled ginger if desired.
